Our Mission

The mission of the National Center for Natural Hazards & Early Warning (NCNE) for Lebanon is to enhance the country’s resilience to natural hazards by providing timely and accurate early warnings, facilitating proactive risk reduction measures, and promoting a culture of preparedness and resilience among all stakeholders. Drawing from our commitment to hazard and risk assessment, hydro-meteorological forecasting, and post-disaster analysis, the NCNE aims to assist emergency operations, produce high-quality information for decision-makers, and foster a comprehensive approach to disaster management.

Our Values

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a comprehensive and integrated early warning system that effectively anticipates, monitors, and responds to a wide range of natural hazards, in alignment with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. By leveraging advanced technologies, enhancing collaboration between stakeholders, and fostering a culture of risk awareness and preparedness, the NCNE aims to mitigate the socio-economic impacts of disasters and ensure the safety and well-being of all Lebanese citizens.
