In a recent feature, the French newspaper Le Monde highlighted the work of the National Council for Scientific Research – Lebanon (CNRS-L) in documenting and monitoring the impacts of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon through the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning.

The article sheds light on the efforts of CNRS-L researchers to develop and maintain a comprehensive geospatial and temporal database that records conflict-related events and their environmental, economic, and social impacts. This evidence-based approach supports damage and loss assessments, recovery planning, and the preservation of scientific records that may contribute to future accountability efforts.
