As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific and research collaboration between national institutions and universities, the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS-L) welcomed the President of the Lebanese American University (LAU), Dr. Chaouki Abdallah, on 25 June 2026 for an official visit aimed at enhancing academic and research cooperation.

A meeting was held with the Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Chadi Abdallah, in the presence of the directors of the Council’s centers and programs. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss avenues for joint cooperation in advanced scientific research, the exchange of expertise, and the development of collaborative research projects between academic institutions and national centers, with the goal of fostering innovation and supporting Lebanon’s scientific and developmental priorities.

The visit also included a tour of the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning of CNRS-L, where the delegation was introduced to the Center and briefed on its main research activities and responsibilities.
