As part of the efforts undertaken by the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning of CNRS-L to document the Israeli aggressions against Lebanon, a map was developed illustrating the severity of the wildfires triggered by the Israeli aggression in South Lebanon. The burned areas amounted to approximately 8556 hectares during the war period (2023–2024), around 160 hectares during the ceasefire violations period (2024-2026), and approximately 1914 hectares since the outbreak of the war on March 2, 2026. This work aims to assess the environmental impact and monitor the damage inflicted on forests and natural resources.
