Representative from NCNE Participates in the Regional Workshop and Meeting of the Arab Urban Resilience Committee in Algeria
Representing the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning (NCNE) of CNRS-L, Hadi Abd Sater participated, in the Regional Workshop and Meeting of the Arab Urban Resilience Committee, held in Algeria, from 28–30 June 2026, within the framework of the League of Arab States and hosted by the Arab Centre for Prevention from Earthquakes Dangers and Other Natural Hazards.
During the event, NCNE presented its work on Participatory Tools in Urban Planning, focusing on the role of Urban Observatories in supporting risk-informed and evidence-based city planning. The presentation highlighted the use of GIS, remote sensing, LiDAR and 3D mapping, dashboards, crowdsourcing, and geospatial monitoring to organize urban data, assess risks, monitor environmental and infrastructure pressures, and support transparent decision-making.
