CNRS-L welcomes the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Lebanon
On 9 July 2026, the Secretary General of the National Council for Scientific Research – Lebanon (CNRS-L), Dr. Chadi Abdallah, welcomed H.E. Tarcísio Costa, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Lebanon, and Marcelo Calero Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Brazil in Beirut.
The meeting focused on strengthening scientific and institutional cooperation between Lebanon and Brazil. Discussions highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration and knowledge exchange in reinforcing institutional frameworks, promoting scientific excellence, and creating new opportunities for cooperation between research institutions in both countries.
Both sides also emphasized the value of fostering long-term partnerships that encourage the exchange of expertise, support joint scientific initiatives, and contribute to addressing shared challenges through research, innovation, and international cooperation.
The visit also included a tour of the National Center for Natural Hazards and Early Warning (NCNE) at CNRS-L, during which the delegation was introduced to the Center’s and briefed on its main research activities, responsibilities, and ongoing work.
